5 Tamil youths arrested in Chilaw

5 Tamil youths arrested in Chilaw[TamilNet, Sunday, 23 November 2008, 17:31 GMT]The Chilaw police Saturday in a cordon and search operation took five Tamil youths, originally from Jaffna district but working in commercial establishments in Chilaw town, into custody on suspicion. Houses and shops in the town were searched during the operation that commenced in morning and concluded afternoon. The police said the youths were arrested as they failed to prove their identity. The arrested are being detained in Chilaapam police and are being interrogated.
